Hi there! Thanks for your interest in joining New Life’s worship band. The band is part of New Life’s Worship Arts department, which includes our tech, ASL, and communion teams. We’re a community of worshippers whose mission is to cultivate a community that enjoys God through resourceful creativity and God-honoring excellence, transforming the world through the gospel by enacting purposeful stewardship and intentional discipleship. Whether it’s a Sunday morning worship set or time together as a community during the week, this mission, this purpose defines how we live.

In Genesis, we are told that we are created in God’s Image. As Imago Dei, we seek to have lives marked by resourceful creativity. In that regard, we seek to walk in God-honoring excellence because our God embodies beauty and excellence and imbues His creation with these traits. As those made in His image, we seek to do the same with our sub-creation. As a team, we walk in purposeful stewardship. God has entrusted us with time, talent, and treasure, and we are responsible for caring for those things purposefully. Finally, as a team, we pursue intentional discipleship. As Jesus called us to, we intentionally make disciples. A Sunday morning worship set is one way we do this, as we lead the congregation in pursuit of the heart of God. Even more than that, during our times together as a team, we seek to disciple other team members. We empower and help them to develop a clear path in following Jesus. In all of this, we consider it a tremendous honor and privilege to lead the body of New Life in worship through music each and every week - and we have a ton of fun together in the process!
